In this space, we will put a large table for gathering neighbors to host Bible studies, dinners and other relationship building gatherings. There will be a prayer trail throughout the garden with prayer prompts and places to sit, pause, and encounter God. The focal point of the garden will be a stream running through the middle, representing life and the “river of living water” (John 7:38) that Christ offers all who believe in him.
There will be fruit trees, vines, gardening beds and other landscaping to create an atmosphere of beauty and represent growth/life. The fruit and vegetables will be used for events hosted at the Garden and House of Prayer, as well as given to our neighbors. We also hope that through gardening with neighbors and volunteers, genuine relationships will be formed, and gardening skills will be learned. |
